Found delicately nestled on the Ljubljanica River, its home to the famous greats such as Jose Plecnik and France Preseren.
Ljubljana is alive in summer with street performers, festivals and with its many bars and restaurants located right on top of the river, it really does offer something for everyone who visits. With lots of lovely shops in its stone laid shopping street, to its everyday fresh fruit markets that offer the best of Slovenian produce.

Sun and fun is coming up as the tour moves to Split, but first no trip to Croatia can be complete without visiting the heritage listed and almost unbelievable experience you can only get in Plitvice Lakes.
Break out the sunscreen, camera and walking shoes as we spend some time discovering the crystal clear waters of the lakes. Blue, Green, Grey, Clear you name it…. You’ll see lakes that you thought could never exist anywhere in the world.

After filling up on culture and food It’s time to venture back into Croatia and hit Dubrovnik and find out why this city has earned its name and reputation as the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’.
Here we meet a local guide who will spend some time with you talking about the sights of the city as well as some of its modern history and role in the Yugoslav wars.
This city is an absolute delight and unlike anything you have seen on this tour with its surrounding walls and plethora of Croatian limestone that makes the streets seem to glow in the day and shine in the evenings.
The afternoon is yours to discover the port and to think about things you want to do on your free day in Dubrovnik. Discover some of the hidden local restaurants for a wonderful meal. Perhaps you wish to spent the evening in town for the after sun fun? Dubrovnik does not disappoint with some wonderful lively bars and late night fun…. If that’s what you’re after!
Lunch stop in Mostar
Walking tour of Dubrovnik with local guide
Today is your day to go at your leisure. There is plenty to do today now that the sun is coming up and things are starting to get warm.
You have the option hitting some of the beaches located outside of the city centre or you can get your camera ready and walk along the cities ancient walls for the most stunning views of the Adriatic and the Terracotta roofs of the city.
Maybe take a ferry out to Lokrum Island, but watch out for the nudes though!! (ask your tour leader) or maybe visit some of the cities museums and learn more about the Yugoslav wars and Croatian history and culture.
Our advice is to ask the locals about the best kept secret in Dubrovnik and find the gate that leads to cliff side bar, where you will find people drinking, eating and crazily cliff jumping into the blue waters. Being the last day of tour this sounds like a perfect place to join up with your group and have a final farewell drink or three whilst watching the sun set over the Adriatic Sea and on an unforgettable experience.
Its time for breakfast and time to make sure you have finalised all your new friends in your phone and datebook. With the tour finishing after breakfast we hope we have made this the highlight of your travels and you have met people you will now know forever.
